DescriptionTitle: Space Data Management Project Manager (S3)Job Location: Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, COOdyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Space Data ManagementProject Manager supporting the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Division ofthe US Space Force, Space and Missile Systems Center's Special ProgramsDirectorate (USSF SMC/SPG). The SDA Division executes systemacquisition, modernization, and sustainment for ground- and space-basedSpace Domain Awareness (SDA) sensors and command and control (C2)systems. Activities include acquisition program management, system andsubsystem engineering, maintenance and supply support, and fielding.Job Responsibilities:The Space Data Management Project Manager provides support for projectmanagement, data integration, systems and sustaining engineering, andimplementation of complex space data systems.Duties include, but are not limited to:Support planning and execution of all product support elements in thedevelopment, modification, upgrade and sustainment of the Unified DataLibrary (UDL)Manage data integration requirements; make recommendations to the Governmenton data management processes for the development, improvements,optimization, and data aggregation efforts across the USAF and USSFProactively communicate across the organization to identify and implementcritical solutions to a variety of program management challengesDevelop, plan, and implement product support strategies and analysis fortechnology demonstrations, prototyping, and system test and evaluationactivitiTrack development and sustainment risks in support of Government activities;develop and execute technology insertion and risk reduction strategies,studies and recommendations to mitigate identified risk conditionsSupport resolution of system issues, deficiencies, software bugs, etc.with prime contractors, depot contractors other support contractors;monitor contractor performance during software development, test, and fieldingProvide data integration expertise, to include proactively identifying andresolving potential risks, to program managers at technical interchangemeetings, design reviews, program conferences, VTCs, telecoms,working groups and informational meetings to facilitate informed decisionsPrepare briefings, reports, informational analysesTravel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government directionOther duties as required/requested by the Government within the constraintsof the S3 contractMinimum Qualifications:AA/AS in Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, or arelated disciplineKnowledge/experience with C++, firewalls, JAVAActive Secret clearance, TS/SCI eligibleAble to travel as needed (up to 25%)Preferred Qualifications:BA/BS in Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, or arelated discipline and 2 years of experienceKnowledge of Agile Software Development processes and tools i.e. JIRA,ConfluenceKnowledge of Space Domain Awareness dataKnowledge or previous expertise with the commercial space data communityKnowledge of cross-domain solution technical implementationCurrent TS/SCI eligibilityOdyssey Systems provides support to the Government in five areas: ProductSupport, Sustainment Engineering and Sustainment Management, TechnicalOrder Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design,Engineering, and Integration.
