L3Harris Technologies has an opening for a Space Integrated Protection Strategy (IPS) Specialist for an important national Security Program.
The successful candidate will support a high performing team of Government and Contractor professionals to support and conduct astrodynamics, orbit determination, and propagation analysis in support of the Space Warfighting Mission. The candidate will be pivotal in supporting the management, tracking and planning of operational assets for the Space Warfighting Mission. The successful candidate will have experience executing orbit determination, propagating various ephemerides, analyzing spacecraft maneuvers and assisting in identification, classification and tracking of space assets. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated the ability operate in a dynamic and high energy environment with constantly changing tasking and priorities. This position will be supporting the Space Superiority Business Division of the Space Superiority and Geospatial Sector within the Space and Airborne Systems Segment.
Executes orbit determination, propagating various ephemerides, analyzing spacecraft maneuvers and assisting in identification, classification and tracking of space assets.
Responsible for quantitative analysis, decision analysis, capability analysis, and safety of flight analysis.
Support programs by creating models, simulations, and analysis tools to support national security space analysis activities.
Interaction with customers and provides input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables under guidance of senior technical personnel.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Aerospace Engineering or other equivalent degree
Familiar with satellite operations
Familiar with DoD/NRO spacecraft
Expertise in Astrodynnamics
Experience using astrodynamics tools such as STK, GMAT, and ODTK
Work is at customer site
TS/SCI with CI Poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective organization level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $69,000 - $127,500 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
