Davidson is seeking a SW2 Senior Software Developer in Colorado Springs, CO.Seeking a qualified candidates for a position on the Sustainment andModernization of Radars (SMORS) program. This position will support theSystems Integrated Lab (SIL) project and serve as a software engineersupporting the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System(PARCThe engineer selected for this position will: Be responsible for leading and mentoring a team software developers. Provide coaching, technical direction, and facilitation when necessary. Provide support to the PARCS DevOps Environment. Participate in software implementation to include static code analysis,unit-level testing and documentation. Perform/support rapid software defect root cause analysis and solutiondevelopment. Position may require up to 25% travel.Position Summary / ResponsibilitiesDesigns, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software andsystems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conductsmultidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/orhardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilizationof electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolveproblems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition,programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions;designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operatingEnsures software standards are met.Requirements:-Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or relateddiscipline from an accredited college.-9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professionalexperience with a Master's degree.-Experience developing real-time Object-Oriented Software architectures.-Experience with C++ or Java required, preferable to have experiencewith both.-Position requires U.S. Citizenship.Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:-Able to deliver successful results based on general objectives with minimalguidance-Experience with leading software defect root cause analysis and solutiondevelopment-Familiarity with Missile Defense, Missile Warning and Space SituationalAwareness missions-Familiarity with Phased Array Radar technology-Experience leading teams as they develop and troubleshoot software tofind/fix defects-Experience in the use of Atlassian tools-Experience interacting with Government Stakeholders-Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows, RedHat Linux, and Solarisoperating systems-Experience developing network based applications in a pub/sub or messagingenvironment-Experience with Real Time Operating systems-Experience with Emulation/Virtualization technologies-Experience with Configuration Management and the ability to create installpackages and deployment techniques-Experience with applied automated testing techniques including unit andintegration testing-Strong ability to debug and trace existing baseline for systemtroubleshooting and impact analysis-Understanding of standard software development lifecycle and supportingtechnical stack-Must be able to work in a group environment-Ability to efficiently and independently multi-task in an extremely demandingand deadline-driven environment-Must have strong organization skills and an ability to prioritize assignedwork in order to meet deadlinesClearance Requirements:Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
