System Engineer IV Job LocationsUS-CO-Colorado SpringsJob ID 2018-2433Category Engineering Clearance Level TS/SCI OverviewUSfalcon, Inc. recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately heldcompanies in the United States, is seeking a Systems Engineer IV to work outof Schriever AFB, Colorado.ResponsibilitiesOversee the overall security, integrity, and operations of USAFWC systemsand networks IAW AFI 33-115, AFMAN 33-152, AFMAN 33-283, AFI 31-501,AFMAN 33-152 and local policies and procedures and provide support inconnecting USAFWC divisions with other agenciesOperate networked and stand-alone systems at the unclassified, secret andtop secret-SCI classification levels and provide after-hours, non-duty hoursand on-call support as requested by the GovernmentPerform systems administration on platforms including SGI, SUNMicrosystems, personal computer (PC) and Mac systems, running multipleoperating systems such as IRIX, Solaris, Linux, Windows 7, Windows2008 or later, VMware ESXi v5 or later, as well as several versions of the MacIdentify, troubleshoot, and restore network, server, and clientsystems as outages occur or as needed on a daily basisInstalls new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installspatches and resolves software conflictsPerform application loading, troubleshooting, tuning and technical supportfor hardware and software used within the USAFWCLifecycle and install new physical and virtual servers as needed on areoccurring basisOperate Backup software to ensure monthly and daily backups complete for dataprotectionUtilize network-scanning tools to assess vulnerability status and mitigatevulnerabilities on a monthly basisGenerates concepts, designs and provides support for implementation. Assistswith the development of objectives, requirements, CONOPS, and processesfor all USAFWC divisionsProvide support in developing systems to exploit commercial off the shelf(COTS), Government off the shelf (GOTS), and emerging technologiesto improve AF capabilities to include requirement analysis, solutionsdevelopment; life-cycle maintenance, and performance measurementPerform client support administrator duties and conduct client supportadministrator training for assigned Government client support administrator,as applicableParticipates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning,analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance phasesPerforms tests, experiments, implementations, and system support ofcomponents and capabilitiesMaintains confidentiality with regard to information being processed,stored, or accessedIntegrate data fusion architectures and leverage existing and other all-sourcedata in support warfighter applications and systemsDevelop and review communication system requirementsStudy organizational structures, unit missions and requirements to gain abetter understanding of their impact on systems operationProvide systems engineering expertise for facility layout and engineering toinclude systems architecture designs, planning and develop and budgetingDevelop and maintain Communication and Information Systems InstallationRecords (CSIR), and schematic operational, systems, and technicalarchitecture drawings to include review of CSRD technical solutions and CSIRsannually and maintain interface drawings between systems, connectivitydrawings of equipment to various LANs and configurationsAdditional duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Skills:A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in system engineering,administration, and managementA Bachelor's degree and three (3) additional years of experience may besubstituted for a Master's degree, for a total of ten (10) years of experienceNine (9) additional years of experience, may be substituted for a degreerequirement, for a total of sixteen (16) years of experience in systemengineering, administration, and management.Desired Skills:IAT Level 2 certificationEducation: Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering,fro
