Boecore Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Systems Engineer to work in Colorado Springs and on Schriever AFB. TheSystems Engineer will provide support for the Radar Test Contract (RTC)working closely with a team of systems and software engineers on thedevelopment of a suite of radar models used for element- and system-levelanalysis, verification, validation, warfighter training, warfighterexercises, and future capability evaluation. The Systems Engineer will beresponsible for performing technical planning, requirement/functionalitydecomposition, algorithm prototyping, system integration,requirement/functional verification, analysis/testing tooldevelopment, and comparative analysis with tactical radar system behavior.The engineer will support the Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models(OSM) working with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to perform holisticsystem life-cycle analyses of the products as part of an Agile development.The engineer will participate in all required activities to includedevelopment of systems engineering plans and processes, reviews of productdeliverables, and interfacing with product leads in producing qualityreports/products. The engineer will support integration of OSM with existingexternal simulation frameworks, and element models/systems. The engineerwill provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable technical solutions tocomplex problems that are consistent with organization objectives. Theengineer will create presentations that describe and demonstrate advancedalgorithms as implemented in OSM for a variety of audiences. The engineer willdevelop and execute test plans, tools, and reports, including automatedtest tools and scripts for the purpose of validating software requirements andBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, ComputerScience, or related field. Grade determination will be decided on years ofexperience.Experience with the development of test plans, cases, and procedures.Experience with scripting automated test tools.Familiarity with C++ or Java or other object oriented languages.Familiarity with analysis tools including MATLAB and Python.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Experience working with the Agile Methodology.Must have the ability to understand and analyze scientific data.Active security clearance required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience writing formal contractual documents.Familiarity with MySQL or other SQL based databases.Familiarity with BMDS systems especially tactical radars such as theANTPY/2, Cobra Dane, UEWR and SBX.
