Technical Writer/Editor for program supporting the Navy
The candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and Task Manager to produce minutes, push communications back and forth, working with Subject Matter Experts, establishing grammar and style guidelines (AP and Chicago style). The current team has a lack of standardization, so the ideal candidate must have format knowledge.
They will be doing very straightforward writing, and not an illustrative set of documents. Skillset more important now than having a clearance, but a TS clearance may up their chances of going perm. The program has funding through 9/30/2021 (5-6 month contract).
Top Skills Details:
MS Word proficient - knows best practices
English grammar and styles guidelines (AP, Chicago, etc)
1-2 years of technical writing experience
Top Secret clearance PREFERRED but not required
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
English or Journalism degree, prefers 1-2 years of working experience
PPT, Adobe, Word, PDF
