Tier III Network TechnicianPeterson AFB, COJob Summary:IT Veterans seeking a talented Tier III Network Technician. You must have anactive TS/SCI clearance with the ability to gain and maintain a CI Poly.Responsibilities:* Analyzes, administers, and maintains voice, video, and/or datacommunications networks.* Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or datacommunications networks.* Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies andprocedures.* Participates in the development and implementation of network-relatedprocedures and standards.* Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations andupgrades.* Ability to collaborate with similar network engineers across the globetroubleshooting network operational issues.* Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.* Provides advice and training to end-users.* Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems while meeting servicelevel agreements with customer.* May provide work leadership or training to less-experienced networkpersonnel.* Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applicationsas assigned.* Analyze network logs and perform debugging of network system issues.* Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during networkoutages or periods of reduced performance.* Participates in special projects as required.Required Qualifications:* TS/SCI clearance with the ability to gain and maintain a CI Poly.* Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience* Must have and maintain a DoD 8570 approved IAT II level certification.* Must have and maintain at least one CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS-ENT,JNCIP-ENT or similar network certification to maintain DoD 8570 computingenvironment requirement.* 3+ years of Cisco or Juniper network experience, certificationspreferred CCNP, or higher.* Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in networkadministration and support.* Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, network cabling, andother network related hardware.* Working knowledge of network technologies and protocols includingTrunking, VTP, Layer 2 and 3 Port-channels, Spanning-Tree,Port-Security, HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VRF's, and MPLS.* Knowledge of Hierarchical Network, Leaf-Spin, and Multi-layer networkdesign for troubleshooting.* Knowledge to perform packet capture analysis and troubleshooting performanceissues.* Working knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications fortroubleshooting.* Knowledge of network monitoring using SNMP protocol and system logging.Desired Qualifications:* Experience working with government and military defense.* Knowledge of Cisco Voice and Conferencing technologies preferred.* Knowledge of ISIS routing and multicast routing.* Working experience with trouble ticketing systems like ServiceNow.* Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for knowledge management.Knowledge of Splunk, Wireshark, Microfocus NA and NNMi, or Netscout isuseful, but not mandatory.* Experience with crypto logical devices like: KG-350, KG-175G,KG-175X, but not mandatory.* Knowledge of Software Defined Networks (SDN) management technologieslike Netconf, Restconf, and Yang.* Some basic knowledge of programming languages like Python and experiencewith Linux operating systems would be a plus.At IT Veterans LLC, we are committed to providing an environment of mutualrespect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicantsand teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex,pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability,marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genderexpression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and anyother characteristic protected by applicable law.
