Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking an experienced Wideband Controller Guide SME to provide second or third tier technical support and analysis to field engineers/technicians, customers and users.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or software over the phone, email or on site.
Report design, reliability and maintenance problems.
Recommend solutions to resolve reported problems.
Update and validate the existing 53rd Signal BN Wideband Controller’s Guide (WCG).
Update, as necessary, current procedures impacting existing WSOMS systems.
Create procedures for systems that impact WGS operations and other ancillary control systems.
Collaborate and consult with other personnel including other Contractors to ensure procedures are valid, correct, and accurate.
Make changes to the document based upon operational changes to equipment, and software that are critical to system functionality.
Ensure Operations Security (OPSEC) measures are in place.
Continually update the WCG annexes that support WGS requirements.
Update all current workbooks to reflect the new control positions.
Update the workbooks as a result of existing systems, new systems, and operational changes.
Some travel, including OCONUS locations, may be required.
The work location for this position is Peterson AFB, CO.
This opportunity is contingent on contract award to STS.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Security+ or equivalent IAT certification required.
6+ years of applicable work experience.
Understanding of Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC), and the Regional SATCOM Support Center (RSSC); Previous or current experience working within these centers strongly preferred
Prior wideband MILSATCOM enterprise and tactical terminal experience highly desired
Active DoD TS clearance. Ability to obtain & maintain DoD TS/SCI clearance and a US passport is required.
