OurTC Practice works with our clients' executive leadership teams to achievetheir business objectives through innovative solutions that align people,processes and technology.We are looking for individuals that desire to leverage both accounting andtechnology skills to provide advisory, design and implementation services toour clients. As a part of our automation solutions, RSM's LeaseAccounting Technology Consulting Practice provides advisory and softwareimplementation assistance to help companies successfully manage their leaseportfolios and comply with newly developed accounting regulations. As anAssociate, you will be assigned to numerous projects per year, and youwill work on several pieces of any particular assignment-not just one smallpart. This role is a great opportunity to insert yourself into a growing teamwith high visibility to leadership.Consultants provide quality professional services to RSM's clients byperforming the duties and responsibilities listed below:Meet with clients and conduct consulting projects based on client needsFacilitate user workshops to gather and document business needs,requirements, weaknesses and challengesPrepare and support completion of key project deliverablesAssist business users, project managers and IT leadership in optimizing thescope, benefits and risks of proposed projectsWork closely with our Technical Accounting Consulting team on complexaccounting mattersProvide leadership in working with Lease Accounting and Administrationsolution vendorsBecome proficient in a minimum of two Lease Accounting and Administrationsolution vendorsSupport ongoing internal practice development of the RSM Lease AccountingTechnology PracticeComplete client projects effectively and efficiently and maintaining a highlevel of proficiencyPerform work remotely or travel to client locations as requiredBasic Qualifications:A B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university withBachelor's degree in the field of Accounting, Business Administration,Finance, Computer Science, and/or Management Information SystemsDemonstrated capability to achieve strong academic results in selected fieldas well as a facility with / aptitude for technologyCritical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, as well as theability to apply theoretical concepts and best practices to solve businessproblemsHighly self-motivated and directed character with the ability to effectivelyprioritize and execute tasks while under pressureStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work successfully in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentEligibility to work within the U.S.Travel to assigned client locations locally and nationally is required (PostCOVID). Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modesof transportation to those locationsA minimum 3.0 GPA is preferredPreferred Qualifications:Basic understanding of business processes and concepts in process redesignBasic understanding of technology, including infrastructure, databases andapplication / enterprise architectureBasic understanding of accounting. Not required but preferred, a basicknowledge of the Lease Accounting Standards ASC 840, ASC 842, IFRS 16,and/or GASB 87Ability to exercise independent judgment and take guided action on itAbility to self-manage time and tasks assigned to you, as well as manageother key project componentStrong data manipulation skills utilizing Excel, including databaseknowledge (Microsoft SQLand / or Access knowledge is plus)Experience with software, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets,Visio, PowerPoint and Word
