This position is in the My Oracle Support Applications Development Team. My Oracle Support is a mission critical application used by Oracle Customers and Oracle Customer Support to manage and resolve all customer-initiated requests across Oracle products. We are building the next generation My Oracle Support application using OCI, PaaS and SaaS offerings from Oracle’s technology and application portfolio to enhance our customers experience, modernize our technology stack, and accelerate our release cycle.

The senior developer / architect in this role will be responsible for defining our continuous integration and deployment strategy for an enterprise application made up of many components spanning different technology stacks. This person will need to participate in some of the development and direct individual development teams. This person will also determine the high availability and disaster recovery strategies for this application. My Oracle Support is required to run with near zero downtime, outside of planned outages. As other architectural challenges arise, this person will be asked to understand and solve them.

What you will need

  • Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience, developing and delivering products and solutions in a commercial environment

  • Enterprise architecture expertise; designing application ecosystems consisting of many sub-components

  • Experience designing highly available and disaster-proof solutions for application ecosystems

  • Experience with implementing continuous integration and delivery, CI/CD with their underlying technologies / tools (e.g. Jenkins, GIT, Gradle/Maven, Artifactory)

  • Experience working with cloud computing technologies, (e.g. GCP/AWS/Oracle/OpenStack)

  • Experience with Microservices architecture, configuration, development and deployment with their underlying technologies including Docker/Kubernetes, Helm, and Prometheus

  • Good knowledge of common web protocols, networking, and systems

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures

  • Ability to solve complex problems when the initial parameters are not well defined

  • Ability to influence others without having direct management responsibility

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Create new architecture for a moderate size product or a portion of a major product. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range: From $124,774 to $224,599 per annum
