U.S. Bank BI Business Analyst in Denver, Colorado

Elavon is currently seeking a strong Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst to join our BICoE, focused on delivering analytics capabilities and bringing data to life through enhanced data visualization and reporting capabilities.

This role will work with key business stakeholders and IT (GTS) to define, collect, clarify and translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation and data models from which analytical applications and solutions are designed and developed. An ideal candidate for this role must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Presents data andanalysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quicklyunderstand the results and recommendations helping them make data drivendecisions

  • Creates all requireddocumentation on all projects using pre-defined templates and keepdocumentation up to date on any existing report changes

  • Responds and resolvesall feedbacks (all priorities) within the set thresholds (business days)

  • Creates training andinternal UAT documentation, performing quality assurance and ongoingmonitoring of current reports and data for accuracy and usage

  • Develops better waysof working and leading Agile transformation efforts within BI

  • Works with BI leadersto tactically write stories, acceptance criteria and using data to delivervalue.



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical / business related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 4 to 5 years of relevant job experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Business Analyst


  • Considerable knowledge of assigned business line or functional area (Payments Services)

  • Two to three years’ experience in SQL, building data visualizations and end-user reporting utilizing tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

  • Strong Agile knowledge, with a background in Scrum environment, writing complex user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate complex information clearly, convincingly and concisely to varying audiences

  • Experience working and communicating with teams of engineers and designers

  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working on projects independently
