As a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer, you will act as atrusted advisor to prospective customers by proving how our Anypoint Platformcan bring together their digital investments into an application network whichwill enable faster change and innovation. The MuleSoft Sales team will rely onyour technical and product expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will bean integral part of the success for both our customers and Account Executivesby performing technical discovery qualification, making architecturalrecommendations for the solution, delivering product demonstrations andPoCs, and troubleshooting technical configuration issues engagements. As apassionate technologist and customer advocate, you will connect the dotsbetween the technical solution to business value for the customer. THESE ARE THE CORE SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: * B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent workexperience * Hands-on application development experience in Java, scripting orSOAP/REST development either in an enterprise or academic environment * Excellent presentation abilities and composure in front of all levelsof technical and business audiences * Excellent verbal communication, written communication, andpresentation skills SEASONED PRE-SALES PROFESSIONAL? THESE ARE THE CORE SKILLS YOU'LLNEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: * Min of 8-10 years of experience in pre sales within any specificindustry experience within financial services, retail or healthcare will bean added advantage. * Pre-Sales enterprise software experience, skillset to establish trustwith clients, and ability to influence key decision makers in the sales cycle * Hands on experience with middleware, integration architecturepatterns, web services technologies, enterprise messaging patterns,APIs, SOA, ESB, BPM etc. * Hands-on Java development experience and ability to code and debugagainst Java APIs is preferred * Experience with cloud technologies - iPaaS, SaaS applications,cloud infrastructure, etc. is preferred * Experience building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) andresponding to functional .and. technical elements of RFIs/RFPs independentlyand effectively * Ability to lead architectural discussions * A passion for technology and translating that passion into businessimpact for customers * Excellent verbal communication, written communication, andpresentation skills in front of all audiences. * Ability to travel as needed and to work flexible hours throughout thesales territoryWHAT YOU LL ACHIEVE: 3 months: * Become certified in MuleSoft s Developer trainings * Complete MuleSoft s Kickstart sales training * Begin to build your architecture reframe and whiteboarding skillsthrough shadowing and customer-scenario role playing * Create a Self Service Asset on a MuleSoft technical topic of interest 12 months: * Become certified in all Product, Architecture, and Sales Messagingtrainings * Successfully deliver your Self Service asset by end of the secondquarter * Partner with Accounts Executives on account planning and strategy andsupport marketing with evangelism activities (writing blogs, participatingin demo-driven webinars, speaking at industry events, etc. * Scope, plan and deliver product presentations and demonstrations thatare tailored to the client s technical requirements and audience * Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) as part of an ac
