The DevOps Engineer will contribute to the AUTOPAY technologies and systems by collaborating with team members, building new features, and maintaining existing features.
The development team at AUTOPAY utilizes React, Node, Java, third party APIs, SQL databases, and AWS services. Our tech stack is multi-faceted making use of scalable AWS-based infrastructure. As part of a feature-driven team comprising of members from the Backend, Frontend, Product, and Business teams you will work collaboratively to build new as well as support existing products using SOLID design principles. You will team with product management and end-users in both analyzing requirements and defining the right solution to solve the given problem.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include achieving positive results in the following key areas:
Understand and demonstrate the principles of AUTOPAY?s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Enhance and maintain AUTOPAY?s AWS infrastructure
Enhance and maintain AUTOPAY?s software development lifecycle with a focus on automation of quality, deployment, and audit
Understanding of the AUTOPAY technology footprint, integrations, systems, and processes
Monitor, maintain and investigate the health and performance of AUTOPAY?s infrastructure
Collaboratively work with team members in managing and completing features/bugs in a sprint.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Work within the product and design teams on a variety of platforms and products.
Adapt to business requests and requirements to meet company goals.
Continue to learn and grow your craft.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in agile software development environment as a DevOps engineer
Experience with multiple AWS technologies and services
Experience managing AWS with declarative tools. I.e.: Terraform.
Experience with various tech stacks and related technologies, including Linux, Java, Node, Python, BASH, YAML, and more
Experience with various related technologies: Docker, Networking Infrastructure and protocols, CI/CD pipelines, data storage systems
Experience identifying and resolving issues in complex, multi-layered systems
Demonstrated ability in building, deploying, and maintaining container-based software applications.
Demonstrated ability developing and delivering requirements for complex feature sets.
Proficient with a wide arsenal of software tools, including: Git, Development IDEs, Jira, Insomnia/ Postman, tcpdump, traceroute, and more
Experience with stateless architectures
Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Ability to speak read and write fluent English. Must possess exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills. Must be self-motivated, detailed-oriented, able to define ideas down to a specification level. Must be able to drive projects, debate the merits of approaches, and work effectively with others.
Analytical: Demonstrated ability to measure and track results of work. Including defining key success metrics for projects, incorporating measurable business objectives, revenue optimization, and client experience best practices.
Reasoning Ability: Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution, consensus-building skills.
Other: High level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity required. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.

Starting annual pay range: $110,000 - $150,000
