Successful candidates haveexcellent communication and networking skills, has a passion for data,ability to lead a team through data driven initiatives successfully,strategic mind set, execution focused and familiar with data managementprinciples. Ideal location is in Denver, CO or Wichita, KS and open toremote locations and Santa Rosa, CA!BASIC FUNCTION:TheDirector of Enterprise Data Stewardship provides strategic input,leads, and coordinates data stewardship efforts across the Association.Oversees and manages the enterprise data stewardship team responsible for theaccuracy and integrity of the Association's managed information. Thisposition directs efforts to define, modify, and review controls,processes and/or procedures to improve data quality across the Association.The individual will also make decisions and provide direction on defining andcataloging data elements contained within the Association's data ecosystem.In addition, they will collaborate with identified business data stewards toensure all efforts support the Association's success and promote industrybest practices in data management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provide thought leadership on the use and management of data for theorganization.Manage the process for defining and cataloging critical data elements withinthe Association's metadata repository. This includes supporting multipledata categories and interacting with managers supporting each category.Communicate proper understanding and use of metadata requirements for dataelements contained within the Association data warehouse.Organize and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and business leaders acrossthe organization.Collaborate with IT staff to develop strategies for warehouseimplementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery.Recommend consistent business naming standards for use across theAssociation; coordinate the development of data definitions, standardcalculations, and business rules.Develop and maintain an efficient reconciliation process to ensure accurateinformation is delivered to users. Recommend process improvements.Assess and report on the quality of data across the organization. Initiateprojects to improve data quality and data integrity.Communicate to management and stakeholders throughsummary reports, reviewdecks, project plans, agendas, minutes, issue / risk tracking, etc.Serve as a member of the Farm Credit System's Information Data Workgroup(IDWG), providing active participation and leadership to assist in thedevelopment of the System's data repository.Perform other functions as assigned.TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BA/BS degree in business, accounting, MIS or equivalent. Masters preferred.Five to Seven years progressively responsible experience in Data Analysis,Data Management, Data Governance and/or Data Stewardship; preferably i
