EPIC Ambulatory/Healthy Planet Application Analyst (Job ID: 3504)Job SummaryEpic is a Clinical IT program that manages the electronic medical record forthe patients in our care at Denver Health. This includes Epic applicationsthat manage scheduling, registration, ambulatory care, specialty care,inpatient care including the emergency department, operative services ,acute and intensive care, maternity, newborn, pediatrics, behavioralhealth services, palliative care, care management, ancillary services,(lab, radiology, cardiology), Epic mobile applications, populationhealth, reporting, coding, HIM and financial revenue services. Underminimal direction, the Epic Application Analyst formulates and definessystem scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complexproblems considering software application limitations, operating time, andformThis position is with the Epic Ambulatory team. We are responsible for allEpic build and support for Ambulatory Care, Public Health and BehavioralHealth clinics. The work environment is fast paced on a highly motivated andhigh functioning team. We are looking for an experienced Epic Analyst to joinus and hit the ground running. If you have a broad knowledge of Epic, canwork autonomously, produce high quality work and want to be part of a teamdedicated to producing the best product for our organization, we want totalk to you.ResponsibilitiesUnder minimal direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives.Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering softwareapplication limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.2. With minimal assistance, evaluates feasibility, cost and required timeto complete customer requests.3. Provides and/or implements recommendations and solutions.4. Formulates documents and communicates plan outlining steps required.5. Implements change or performs necessary system changes.6. Communicates and/or educates users in affected user departments.7. Monitors daily maintenance and/or error reports for data accuracy andmaintains records of quality control.8. Identifies and resolves system and procedural problems quickly andcommunicates to management and/or affected customers.9. Communicates and intervenes appropriately with vendor or departmentalpersonnel when required or requested to help resolve issues.10. Maintain updated documentation for all procedures.11. Ensures documentation is available.12. Remains current on reviewing vendor, enterprise and departmentalcorrespondence.13. Makes formal and informal presentations both orally and in writing.14. Provides and maintains documentation as required or requested forapplication related training.15. Completes work status and time allocation documentation as required.16. Plans and organizes time effectively.17. Integrate priority changes into existing work plans.18. Anticipates resource needs and plans accordingly.19. Once properly trained, must respond to pages in a timely manner(according to department's established performance standards, whichinclude a 7X24 on-call rotation as needed by the hiring Epic application, toaddress customer inquiries and resolve problems related to fault detection andisolation.20. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesUnderstands the workflow and process requirements of complex applicationsystems.2. Demonstrated ability to be a clinical subject matter expert insupporting, maintaining and administering complex applications.3. Understands business function related to the application.
