Description

Develop GIS applications in a web or desktop environment. Applications may manipulate, analyze or display geographic information. Identify and understand user requirements and work with user to ensure that application successfully meets user needs. Design, test and debug computer programs, applications, or software packages, and maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required. Train users on applications, develop documentation, and install application in user environment. Integration and management of geographic data and design of geographic databases may be required to build and operationalize applications.

Evaluate requested applications Provide recommendations for development of applications Provide Time estimates for development of application Implement development of approved applications Fully document application Troubleshoot Current Applications

Monitor Current application performance and stability Work with staff and vendors to troubleshoot and repair applications Document issues and evaluate stability solutions

Database Maintenance

Work with GIS staff on developing best practices for maintaining GIS databases Implementation of ESRI Portal Applications

Propose a plan for implementation of ESRI Portal Work with GIS staff on implementation of Portal Data Harvester Application
