The AWS Data Center Systems team seeks a Senior Software Development Managerto manage a team of approximately 40 engineers building the next generationdatacenter infrastructure controls monitoring and alarming system. This roleis both broad and deep, with responsibility for the long-term softwaredirection for industrial control systems at the core of AWS datacenterinfrastructure. This is an opportunity to build global cloud monitoringapplications using device telemetry from the industrial control systems. Someof the services you will own include a calculation engine, a data sciencemodeling platform for anomoloy detection and predictive analytics, a smartalarming service, and services modeling complex electrical and thermaltopologies. These systems directly contribute to the high availability of AWSdata centers, and Amazon's sustainability goals.As a Senior Manager, you will ensure that data center systems are designedwith high reliability, security, availability, scalability, and lowlatency from the outset. You will establish development standards, bestpractices, and drive operational excellence throughout your organization.You will hire and develop the best managers and engineers to accomplish theorganization's goals and mission.
