Under direct supervision responds to questions and diagnoses computer-related problems through a help desk system on-line or via telephone; typically resolves basic problems while refers more complex problems to more experienced help desk or technical support staff.
- Takes phone calls or on-line questions from computer system users relating to hardware, software and connectivity problems with desk top/lap top computers and peripheral equipment; typically discusses problem with user, diagnoses problem using working knowledge of company systems and equipment and advises user on how to solve problem or resolve issue; notes issue and resolution in help desk log.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one (1) year related computer or help desk experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
