We are seeking a Industrial Field Service Technician for our Denver, CO location:

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

The Industrial Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site services that support process and discrete manufactures operations. Specifically, services related to evaluating a customer’s installed hardware/software/network equipment, Store room stock and Safety compliance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Technical

  • Execute documented procedures on-site at customer facilities.

  • Perform onsite collection of current install base through site walk through and use of data collection tools in industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Perform onsite collection of arch flash and lockout tag out policy/procedure/compliance information.

  • Perform onsite management of customer store room assets.

  • Demonstrate core competency around Rockwell Automation products and associated manufacturing technology.

Commercial

  • Act as representative of [Distributor Name] while performing services on mission critical customer equipment and applications.

  • Develop Relationships with key customer stakeholders.

  • Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Articulate the value of services offerings to customers during the lifecycle of the engagement

  • Work with customers to determine customer problems, needs and goals thereby identifying opportunities for product and services that may be outside of the scope of your original engagement.

  • Document work activities in appropriate, professional report format

  • Assist in the clarification and resolution of customer issues

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements;

  • Associate of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent technological training (e.g. technological training received while serving in the military, or equivalent industry training). Or,

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or related technology driven degree.

  • Understanding of safe work practices in an industrial environment including but not limited to utilization personal protective equipment as required.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communications, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands

  • Examples of being self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Hands on experience with commercially available technology such as Microsoft excel, word, etc.

  • Demonstrate Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills required

  • Exposure to Industrial Control Systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motor control, motion control, etc. technology and applications (Rockwell or comparable platforms)

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements;

  • +2yrs Hands on experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Exposure to industrial Lockout Tag out standards and best practices

  • Exposure to industrial Arch Flash standards and best practices

Travel Requirements;

Flexibility for travel 75% - 90% is required and within the Denver, CO area
