Our Infrastructure team is looking to add an Engineer and continue to advance the cloud capabilities and services/systems for our internal engineering teams. As part of our engineering team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Olive’s applications build, deploy and run smoothly. You’ll help keep our infrastructure up to date, and use new and existing tools to solve technical problems. At Olive, automation, reliability and efficiency are part of everything we do.
Experience with containerization concepts and Kubernetes
Work with stakeholders to design and implement a CI/CD process.
Help automate building out each environment using the GitOps philosophy with Terraform.
Work closely with our DevSecOps team to implement best practices when it comes to securing our application and infrastructure.
Empower our cross-functional teams to deliver quality software by enhancing the developer experience of their local development by bringing new and innovative practices
Have an advanced or intermediate understanding of Terraform.
Embrace changing requirements.
Be an AWS platform expert in the “core” infrastructure areas (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, etc.)
3-5 years hands on experience in at least two modern DevOps/IAC technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Vagrant, SaltStack, CloudFormation and Terraform.
2-3 years hands on experience in at least two container technologies such as docker, rocket, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm and Rancher.
4+ years of Systems Engineering experience
A strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and software engineering fundamentals
Experience using AWS or other virtualized infrastructure
Significant experience with config management tool like Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Ansible, etc.
Experience managing a container-based microservice architecture, including orchestration, service-discovery, monitoring, and debugging
Proficient in a scripting language (Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, etc.)
Experience orchestrating infrastructure using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other similar tooling.
Experience building Linux and Windows systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, ContainerLinux, etc.)
Administrative experience with SQL and No-SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB) (installation, configuration, tuning
Strong familiarity with containers and container-orchestration frameworks particularly Kubernetes
Networking, automation, and high-level infrastructure architecture experience
You will be part of an on-call rotation consisted of SREs and Engineers but you are not required to solve every infrastructure problem. Our entire engineer team practices Dev-Ops culture and owns their respective services
Experience with IPSEC and/or SSL based VPNs (LibreSwan, OpenSwan, StrongSwan, OpenVPN)
Deploying or managing infrastructure across AWS AZs and regions.
Familiarity with the Go programming language
