The IT Help Desk Specialist is responsible for providing remote help desksupport for restaurants, regional office and regional users. S/Hetroubleshoots and resolves issues via incoming Hotline calls, emails andinternal tickets while focusing on extraordinary customer service and end usersatisfaction.In addition to following the client's policies and procedures, principalresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing remote tier 1 & 2 IT hardware and software support torestaurants, regional office and regional usersEnsuring IT issues are escalated to the appropriate level IT Support teammembers when necessaryObtaining end-user information and logging all incoming calls and emails intoappropriate ticketing systemServing as liaison to various departments to provide assistance and access tostore financials and customer recordsWorking a dynamic schedule through an on-call rotation process seven days aweekEnsuring restaurants and regional users are completely satisfied with ITsupport servicesServing as point of contact for other members of ITFollowing up on open issues via phone, email or ticketing systemAttending monthly store visits with local Regional IT Support Specialist/ITSupport ManagerParticipating in educational opportunities and obtaining job relatedcertificationsThe ideal candidate will :Have excellent customer service, organization, and communication skillsPossess strong process management skillsUnderstand software, hardware, telephony and connectivityHave an A.A. in Computer Science, or an equivalent in education andexperience, with six (6) months or more experience in a help deskenvironment; A+ certification and HDI certification preferredBe able to acquire data, multi-task, work independently and focus onobjectives while being detailed orientedPossess strong problem solving skillsHave experience with issue management and facilitationEEO EmployerApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
