ConsumerTrack Jr. Technical SEO Analyst in Denver, Colorado

ConsumerTrack, Inc., a fast-growing and innovative digital marketing company, is seeking a Jr. Technical SEO Analyst to scale our technical SEO efforts and drive more organic traffic to our leading personal finance website, GOBankingRates.com. GOBankingRates is dedicated to empowering readers to tackle their financial goals and helping visitors Live Richer(TM). Our content is regularly featured on top-tier media outlets, including MSN, Yahoo!, AOL, Business Insider, CNBC, USA Today and dozens of others.

This role will help improve the organic rankings and traffic of GBR.com by scaling technical SEO efforts and auditing and fixing critical issues, reporting on and improving performance, supporting SEO testing and automation, and expanding our research and capacity to respond to upcoming shifts in ranking algorithms and new technology.

This ideal candidate is well-versed across all facets of SEO but specialize in and have a passion for the technical side. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and improving the performance and crawlability of GoBankingRates.com. You will work across teams in order to prioritize and drive improvements to the website. You will be responsible for researching and staying up to date on the latest technologies and search algorithm updates in order to help the team respond and implement changes.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Improve the technical performance of GBR.com by leveraging SEO tools to conduct technical audits and identify critical issues.

  • Fix critical issues identified in the technical audits or create and submit tickets to the proper team if outside support is needed.

  • Monitor and ensure that GoBankingRates.com is being properly crawled and indexed by search engines.

  • Research and report on any impactful changes in technology/search algorithms as it pertains to SEO in order to to help drive improvements to GoBankingRates.com

  • Conduct Keyword Research and Competitive Analysis to help target high value title opportunities for content.

  • Assist in the development of testing/automation as it pertains to SEO processes.

  • Assist with changes to taxonomy/site migration efforts.

  • Assist with management and implementation of redirect rules.

Requirements

  • 1-2 Years of SEO Experience (Focus on Technical)

  • Basic Knowledge of how websites are crawled and indexed

  • Experience with SEO Tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console

  • Basic knowledge of how to conduct SEO Audits & Reports (Technical / Other)

  • Basic knowledge with Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis

  • Basic knowledge of Site Schema and how to diagnose and fix issues

  • Experience with Google Analytics or other Analytics Platforms

  • Basic knowledge on how to analyze and report on website performance

  • Experience implementing and managing website redirect rules

  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS Platforms

  • Basic knowledge of HTML

  • A desire to improve and the ability to work independently

Nice to Have

  • Well rounded SEO Experience including On-Page, SEO Content, Link Acquisition (understand how it all fits together)

  • Experience with JIRA Or Similar Ticketing System (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working with technical project/product managers and development teams (Nice to Have)
