The QualityAssurance Manager is responsible for guidance and growth of the of the QualityAssurance role within the business unit, reporting to a Client ServicesManager. In addition to line management responsibility, the QualityAssurance Manager will be integrated into a client project teamand will spendmost of his/her time performing hands on functional and regression testing.Primary Responsibilities:QA staff management. Conduct focal reviews, perform career planning,create staff training plans, address staff issues/conflicts, addressperformance issues, monitor billable utilization and other line managementduties as applicable.Resource management. Allocate staffing to projects as needed and placement ofresources for the best fit for the project and the resource.Enforce high quality standards - Establish and enforce QA processes and ensureconsistency between projects. Review existing testing practices, estimationmodels and processes to ensure QA team is working efficiently and effectively.Provides vision and recommendations on how to improve the quality assurance asappropriateDocument proceduresOversees adherence to defined functional deliverables, and providesclarifications to the team on the functionality of the application.Establishes standards for quality and deliverable review from qualityassurance resources.Participates in setting strategic direction of internal products and services.Capture metrics, develop reports for use across the department and forspecific project teams, analyze results and provide recommendations forimprovementsDefect tracking tool and CR Management for the department which includescreation/management of process documents and coordinates requested changesto the tools.Evaluate test tools and technologies and make recommendations for increasingorganizational efficiency through adoptionAct as mentor and subject matter expert for the Quality Assurance Analysts andproject teams in the business unitCommunicate accurate status to interested parties.Performs hands on software testing activities on a project team, in additionto management responsibilities.Requirements:9+ years experience of hands-on software testing2+ years experience in lead or management roleSelf-motivated individualInsurance domain expertise 5+ years preferredExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsKnowledgeable in Software Quality Assurance standards and practices includingpositive and negative testing, white box and black box testing, acceptancetesting, targeted functional testing, functional testing, targetedregression testing and regression testingDemonstrated ability to managing multiple prioritiesProficient at documenting test cases and test plans based on technical andbusiness requirement documentsDemonstrated ability to analyze an application and develop an appropriatetesting strategy in the abs
