Requisition 21714Location: Denver, CODenver,Colorado80249,United States (US)Position Purpose:The Network Implementation and Systems Specialist is responsible for bothhardware and software tasks. This individual will procure equipment for,stage, install and support contractor-owned, including Training CampusInfrastructure (TCI), networks at designated operating bases. They willalso configure and troubleshoot software and systems. This individual willparticipate in technical research and development and will ensure that systemhardware, operating systems, software systems, and operationalprocedures adhere to organizational requirements.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Procures all necessary hardware and software needed to install networkingcapability at required sites; stage and test networks before installingon-site; travel to site to install networks and provideobservation/support after setup and configuration of networks. Supportincludes integration of workstations and peripherals.May be accountable for the following tasks: Courseware deliveries, WindowsUpdates, APT Updates, power outage troubleshooting.Travel to sites to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair servers, workstations(hardware and firmware) and applicable software and services.Assists other FlightSafety teammates and Air Force students with technicalissues.Assists with the administration and operation of the proxy, e-mail,file, printer, web, fax, domain naming system (DNS), antivirus(A/V), Active Directory (AD) and archive/backup servers usedthroughout the contractor-owned networks.Assists in the analysis of requirements and development of specifications forall workstation and server hardware and software systems.Assists in development and maintenance of installation and configurationprocedure documentation, including topologies.Knowledge, Skills and Ability:Ability to work with and effectively communicate with all levels of computerusers.Solid knowledge of: Windows desktop operating systems.Solid knowledge of: Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016.Solid knowledge of: VMWare VSphere, Esxi, Hyper-V management, DesktopCentral, HCI technologies.Firm knowledge of communications principles (voice and data).Basic knowledge of: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).Basic knowledge of relational databases.Ability to plan, organize and implement varied and complex tasks.Good judgment is required, as is dedication to seeing various tasks throughto completion, and taking responsibility for successes and/or failures.Education and Formal Training:Two year degree in computer science or comparable. Network+ or CCNAcertification desired.
