Previous utilityexperience would be preferred. Experience with VBA (Visual Basic),experience with coding, and/or proficiency with Meridium software are alsodesirable skills.Please note that relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.SummaryPerform or coordinate the preparation and distribution of statisticaloperating reports and compliance filings for Energy Supply, with variousfederal and state regulatory agencies, industry groups, analysts,investors, public organizations, and internal management. Review,provide analysis, and interpret new and proposed operational trackingregulations and participate in determining the impact and compliance needs ofEEssential ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the preparation and distribution of external and internaloperating reports (ex. NERC, FERC, EIA, DOE, regulators, financialanalysts, and markets) for all operating companies, ensuring thatreporting and input data are timely and accurate. Ensure compliance withvarious reporting requirements for such reports.Accountable for the creation and maintenance of the operational relateddatabase. Maintain and update reporting documentation. Identify data reportingerrors and make corrections necessary for a defendable database. Ensure datais compliant with regulatory definitions of performance and event data.Maintain in-depth knowledge of statistics and reporting issues. Accountablefor the establishment of new processes as needed to support additional orrevised regulatory reporting needs. Be the company liaison with internalclients, providing consultative resources to business units within Xcel'sEnergy about Energy Supply related data, and it's impact due to proposedreporting requirements.Direct and execute various special projects for senior management and performanalysis of the data and provide feedback as to the implication to thecorporate/business unit strategy, such as Commercial Enterprises modelingsupport, insurance risk assessments, Investor Relations, rate casesupport and generation benchmarking studies.Consult with internal and external clients on all aspects of statisticalresearch and competitive analysis. Prioritize client needs, identifysolutions, obtain resources to implement projects and provided consultingservices leading to proactive strategic and tactical recommendations. Provideexpert analysis for internal and external clients on research results.Develop tools and reports to facilitate consistent and defendable operationsdata analysis. Work with the data sources to develop standardized measurementsand reports across the regions. Train users to understand and properly use thereporting systems as appropriate.Accountable for maintaining working relationships with internal and externalcustomers, including the DOE, EIA, ISO's, PUC's.
