As aDatabase Freedom Principal Specialist within AWS, you will help shape thefuture of the database industry and further establish Amazon as the leader inthe cloud computing space. You will be a primary contributor to the DatabaseFreedom go to market strategy and drive execution across numerous AWS andpartner teams. You will use your domain expertise in databases to driverevenue, develop sales programs and identify new markets and opportunities.You will work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers tounderstand their data migration requirements and turn them into reality. Yourbusiness savvy will help customers understand how to reduce costs and improvebusiness agility using AWS purpose built database services. Your excellentverbal and written communication skills will allow you to build salesenablement tools and evangelize our platform and migration tools and resourceswith our strategic customers and valued partners.The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables themto drive a complex engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, and atechnical background that enables them to easily interact with softwaredevelopers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability tothink strategically and analytically about business, product, andtechnical challenges. The ability to build and convey compelling valuepropositions and cross-organizational consensus are a must, along with akeen sense of ownership and personal drive.Roles and Responsibilities:Serve as a key member of the Database Freedom Business Development team,focused on driving overall AWS market and technical strategy for databasemigrations to AWS purpose built Database and Analytics Services.Help define a path for customers to free themselves of the costs andlimitations of commercial databases, both transactional and analytical.Provide world class expertise and programs for data and applicationmodernization initiatives to earn trust and maximize value for customersWork closely with our customers to ensure they are successful using ourdatabase and analytics services, and that they have the technical resourcesrequired.Provide customer and market feedback to accelerate adoption of AWS Databaseand Analytics Services.Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regardingprogress and roadblocks with customer engagements and program execution.Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computingmarket.Marry relational database technical knowledge with ability to go deep enoughon technical aspects to differentiate between varied database approaches(relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.)5+ years of experience with go to market strategy, business development,enterprise sales, or program/product management experience.5+ experience working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or NoSQLdatabases is required.Technical and/or business degree required.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
