Project Readiness Manager

The Project Readiness Manager plays a crucial role in initiating, planning and execution of the technical aspects of Omnicell system implementations. After the sale of a system is complete, the Project Readiness Manager works in conjunction with the Project Deployment Manager and/or the assigned project lead in managing the setup and deployment of interfaces, databases and best practice system configurations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an average of 10-15 projects of various size and complexity simultaneously

  • Works closely with technical teams to execute all activities as outlined in the project plan; specific to the server, interface and database build

  • Subject matter expert and product consultant for Omnicell Medication & Supply solutions

  • Meet timelines according to the project plan, revenue forecast, resource schedule, and project deliverables while continuously assessing the client’s ability to change relative to the agreed upon scope

  • Work directly with the client project management team throughout project initiation, planning and execution phase of the infrastructure build.

  • Conduct customer webinars related to Omnicell products as required

  • Proactively identify significant project risks and escalate to project lead

  • Provide internal project status reporting to project lead. Reporting to clients may be required if there is no PDM assigned to the project

  • Project Readiness Manager will be expected to manage and complete the following tasks:

  • Server(s) setup; to include licenses, vSuite, utilities, LDAP and SMTP

  • Interface setup, build, testing and mapping. This will include all interfaces within scope for the assigned project

  • Database build and deployment; this includes the items, users, OmniSuppliers, areas, frequencies, barcode, alias, email, dispensing alerts and any additional configuration specific databases (e.g. AnywhereRn, Closed Loop, Interoperability or Singlepointe)

  • CSM setup - to include databases, restock configurations and reports

  • CPM setup - to include databases, Carousel, Packager, XR2 configuration, restock configurations and reports

  • Defining and implementing Omnicell cabinet and Omnicenter related best practice configurations

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess a wide product based knowledge, strong base in interfacing, databases and software configurations

  • Ability to facilitate in-person and via webinar with a high level of learning effectiveness and satisfaction by participants

  • Strong negotiation/problem solving skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented, independent and able to adjust to changing priorities

  • Able to quickly learn new software and functionality of new products

  • Ability to work collaboratively and enjoy working in a fast-paced technical environment

  • Proven track record of success in managing multiple projects/multiple presentation deadlines at one time

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum four or more years experience of demonstrated on the job work experience using interfaces and databases

  • Associate Degree in an I/T related field or an I/T related certification

  • Four or more years of demonstrated project management, implementation and/or technical/analyst work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to facilitate in-person and via webinar with a high level of learning effectiveness and satisfaction by participants

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated project management work experience in the healthcare medical device industry

  • Pharmacy or clinical operations work experience

  • Experience effectively presenting technical information to leadership

  • PMP certification

Work Conditions:

  • 20-40% domestic travel

  • Occasional availability during off hours may be required.

  • Work across multiple time zones

  • Home based field-based role.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk/pace; use hands to handle equipment or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time using video technology.

Note: The selected individual must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record, be able to meet company’s insurance coverage requirements and have their own vehicle in acceptable working condition.
