QA EngineerJob Locations US-CO-DenverID 2018-3146 # of Openings 1 Category PenscoOverviewThe Quality Assurance Engineer is primarily responsible for deliveringautomated testing solutions for legacy and next generation proprietarysoftware solutions that satisfy the requirements of PENSCO's business units.The Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with product owners anddevelopment team members to drive quality to the highest standards. The QAEngineer collaborates with development teams to define and drive bestautomation practices. The Quality Assurance Engineer reports directly to theQAResponsibilitiesAssess each development cycle for automation suitability and coverageWrite and review test scripts and test cases.Develop automation tests based on test cases and project objectives.Develop automation tests for all test environments as appropriatePerform ad hoc and scheduled demonstrations of automated tests to team andbusiness partners throughout the development process.Develop manual test case(s) as required for each development cycle.Conduct manual testing as required for each development cycle.Document and report test results and defects to project team.Review test cases for completeness, clarity and coverage of providedrequirements.Maintain test case repository periodically as needed to ensure test caseaccurace and coverage.Create and maintain test plans for production releases.Conduct manual and automated testing and prep activities for productionreleases.Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of qualityassurance test standards, policies and best practices.Work with other Quality Assurance, Developer, Product and Project teammembers to ensure quality standards and best practices are being communicatedand understood.Promote a constructive, positive team environment and maintain a spirit ofopenness, information sharing, inquisitiveness, problem-solving andsupport for common goals.Actively participate in Agile ceremonies as defined by the team's processes.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge of at least one development language and relational databaseUnderstanding of good software engineering practices such as unit testing,configuration automation, automated deployments, and release management.Demonstrated understanding of automation testing and best practices.Excellent troubleshooting of multi-tiered environments and web/mobile basedapplicationsDemonstrated u nderstanding of Software Development Life Cycle and AgileprocessesExcellent collaboration skillsDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsWillingness and demonstrated desire to learn new skills.Minimum of 5 years' experience in automation testing of software solutions .Bachelor's degree, vocational training, and certifications for softwaredevelopment/automation preferred.Experience in JavaScript, Protractor, Selenium , SQL, and JIRA preferredApply for this job online ApplyShareEmail this job to a friend ReferSorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
