The Scrum Master/Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of department projects and will lead the scrum/agile discipline and run and manage projects for the Global Technology department. The incumbent will guide, create, and implement best practices associated with the scrum/agile/project environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates, maintains, and manages the scrum/agile/project methodologies utilized in all project work for Global Technology.
Responsible for right-sizing agile/scrum methodologies in accordance with appropriate rigor vs. risk for the organization.
Creates, modifies/changes, and implements standards and best practices for Global Technology as it relates to the agile/scrum/project methodologies.
Running scrum/agile work within the technology domain and with its? customers.
Practicing and promoting scrum/agile ways of working and methodologies.
Guides the department and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers; how to get the most out of self-organization and filling in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the department and organizes and coaches them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the department and organization.
Removes impediments or guides the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution while also getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Supports and educates the Product Owner(s), especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Determines with the team, the best method(s) for implementation, traditional project approach or scrum/agile methodologies.
Manages and maintains both project disciplines, waterfall and scrum/agile.
Facilitates and implements appropriate dashboards and tracking of all work.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
BA or BS in a technological discipline; MBA or equivalent technical degree preferred.
Certifications required: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Minimum of 4 years of Scrum Master & Project Management experience combined.

Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years in software development and or technical disciplines that were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory and can adjust based on level of knowledge, training and experience within the organization.
Skilled and knowledgeable at servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.
Knowledge of various well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
Understanding of various agile methodologies.
Ability to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problems solving.
Utilizes a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel.
