CACI International Secure Network IT System Administrator in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

A system administrator specifically dedicated to the security team would be the first line of communication regarding systems requirements from customers. This position would interface with the customer concerning their specific system(s) and apply proper requirements to continue compliance.

More About this Role:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Focus on systems security, to include: patching, virus definition updates, CVE mitigation, backups, regular security scanning/remediation, and vulnerability/risk analyses

  • Managing the server environment to meet security requirements (addressing patches, STIG Compliance, CTO mitigation, planning OS migration to newer releases, BIOS Updates, monitoring server capacity, etc.)

  • Experience with security features or the vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by a national agency, NIST and DoD, and USCYBERCOM

  • Application and configuration of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or Intelligence Community (IC) Standards as well as applying Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

  • Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure

  • Familiar with authoring, updating, and managing system security plans (SSPs)

  • Active Directory experience with creating/deleting user accounts and resetting passwords

  • Provide basic network engineering and technical support related to systems

  • Administer storage appliances

  • Monitor systems utilizing programs such as SolarWinds and Centrify, apply proper action upon critical findings

  • Provide System(s) status to Program / Project Manager / ISSO

  • Deployment/installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and Windows/Linux operating systems

  • Experience with managing VMWare ESXi clusters and hosts

  • Execute troubleshooting skills to address stability objectives both reactively and proactively

  • Able to manage network location moves and apply network cable management as well as cabling of ethernet standards

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • IN depth knowledge of Windows Server, Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Hands on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB

  • Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service skills: includes product knowledge, communication and listening, problem-solving, professionalism, action-oriented task management (multi-tasking), and confidence.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or 5 years relative experience

Experience: Minimum of 5 years System Administration /System Engineering experience, or directly related.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with implementing NIST 800-53 controls/ICD 503

  • Knowledge of the IC environment and the Xacta 360 tool to navigate projects through the RMF process to achieve IATT & ATO

  • Experience participating in Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process

  • Experience preparing systems security documentation (e.g., security plans, risk assessment reports, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), etc.)

  • Experience with Continuous Monitoring, mitigating scan findings, maintaining network cut sheets

  • Experience with system integration and hardening in cloud environment

  • Experience working with engineers and system administrators to correct scan findings / system vulnerabilities

  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph to begin employment

  • Must have current Security+ Certification or another DoD 8570

  • Complaint IA Certification, or ability to obtain immediately upon hiring

  • Vulnerability assessment scanning experience (Security Center/NESSUS/SCAP)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with developing test plans for information systems

  • Demonstrated experience with Linux (Red Hat)

  • Audit log review: ability to query and perform analysis
