The AIRXOS Senior Director of Product and Service Delivery will be responsible for all aspects of our product deployment strategy and delivery activities with our end customers and partners – this includes project management & technical implementation of our Autonomous Services Platform and our certification and waivers services solutions.
In addition to executing on the efficient & effective delivery of these solutions after contract execution, this individual will also be expected to provide leadership & guidance to product management on additional requirements needed for each project including process around resource estimates & delivery risk; likewise, after successful delivery & customer sign-off, this leader will be expected to help the team transition the project to the to be developed operation organization.
In the role of Senior Director – Product & Service Delivery, you will:
Interact heavily with the AiRXOS leadership team and various GE business units and external partners
Lead product management and product strategy efforts
Develop product roadmaps and all new product development projects, including product features, requirements and related documentation
Work closely with GE Business Unit SMEs, customers, and Engineering, to identify key product and/or solution gaps within current platforms and solutions
Work closely with Engineering team by conveying vision, scoping work, prioritizing issues, and speaking on behalf of customers overall technical strategy / project plans are being moved forward
Partner with and provide leadership to Sales and Marketing on a strategic commercial strategy, including go-to-market approaches, key prospect and customer identification, customer approach
Be responsible for budgeting process for sales product and project budgets
Develop a deep understanding of market problems and drivers for products and services through market research, productive relationships with customers, and internal sources of market knowledge and expertise
Identify path to markets, and lead strategy for distribution channels, direct sales and pricing
Ensure policy and product strategies are aligned
Manage regulatory and key trade relationships, including relationships with the FAA, DOT, FCC, CTIA, ATIS and other key regulatory and industry constituents
Identify and manage partner relationships with key vendors, partners and competitors
Lead the process for continuous evaluation of trends and adjust strategy to capitalize on shifts in the marketplace, including the process of obtaining and disseminating competitive intelligence across all markets and product lines Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or Technology from an accredited college or university (OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university with minimum 8 years in product marketing, product management and/or product planning including minimum 5 years experience in delivering SaaS market solutions, portal systems and/or cloud applications)
Minimum 10 years in product marketing, product management and/or product planning
Minimum 5 years experience in delivering SaaS market solutions, portal systems and/or cloud applicationsEligibility Requirements:
Travel up to 50% of the time, as required Desired Characteristics:
Significant experience leading the delivery of cloud-based software solutions into both customer hosted environments
Experience leading technical implementation teams is preferred
Superior work ethic, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Experience with problem-solving, analytical analysis, and/or project management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Previous experience working in a customer-facing role in the sales & delivery of complex software solutions is preferred
Demonstrated success in managing geographically distributed teams is highly desirable
Experience interacting with & influencing Product Management and Engineering / R&D organizations preferred
Experience selling and delivering larger dollar value implementations with multiple products and solutions working together
Experience in development and execution on team metrics, and analytics to drive efficiencies and achievement of organizational goals
A strong understanding of software delivery project management processes is highly desired
Excellent communicator with ability to persuade across all levels of the organization
Ability to motivate, lead, and discipline personnel when applicable
Ability to resolve complex problems and questions on function and usage of products and services
Ability to professionally handle and resolve stressful situations
Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence (email, letters, proposals and agreements)
