This individual will take an active role in driving overallimprovement of operation results due to application performance monitoringtools and techniques.The role defines the metrics, data collection methods, and reportingmechanisms as well as implementation of an overall performance managementstrategy. Ensures the effective capture of all logging and monitoring of allaspects of system and application behavior to facilitate fast detection andresolution of issues. This role will be an SME in troubleshooting performanceissues across the Enterprise. This role will work closely with IT,Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, and external vendors ensuringthe consistent tracking and reporting of metrics and performance data acrossthe Enterprise.This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bankdivision location across our eight state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT,NV, UT, WA, or WY.The entry rate for this position is $29.76 per hour (calculated forMissoula, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and takeinto consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographiclocation, years of experience, and educational background.Duties and Responsibilities* Design and implement load testing and application performance monitoring forapplications.* Network monitoring and management which includes discovering networkcomponents and software, analyzing network traffic, monitoring networkequipment for indications of network congestion, faulty networkinterfaces, and faulty transmission media.* Troubleshooting using logs, alerts, and external data sources todetermine network, application, or security issues. Correlates data todetermine root cause. Reproduces and documents issues and other pertinentinformation in Incident or Problem tickets. Handles incident queue andperforms various tasks as assigned and determines business impact. MaintainGlacier Bancorp's SIEM infrastructure and ensure all logs are ingested timely.* Define and maintain IT's performance monitoring and reporting strategy(processes, tools, and templates); develop enhanced reportingcapabilities through standardization and automation. Recommend, implement,and manage automation to help facilitate enterprise monitoring.* Collect, Consolidate, and validate performance data for inclusion in ITand business communications, including weekly reports, monthlyscorecards, and executive presentations.* Proactively analyze trends in performance across IT. Recommend performanceimprovements for capacity, availability, performance, support, andsecurity. Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to identify andimplement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and customersatisfaction.* Work with application architects to improve scalability and performance,and MBTF.* Stays informed of production changes that could affect functionality andalerting.
