Senior Software Engineer
Expedia's Property Management Solutions team is looking for software engineers to demonstrate their analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on programming experience to build and deploy front end components, services and APIs on the cloud.
What about our technology? You'll dive headlong into full stack web development using React, GraphQL, Node, Java, no-SQL datastores and event stream processing. Contribute towards the reliability and performance of software built on React, Node and Java, deployed on cloud platforms. We are data driven, agile, customer centric and passionate about continuous delivery.
As a member of the team, you'll be a part of a worldwide organization, and will be at the forefront of the Partner Experience building a product that is seen and used by property owners/managers that lists a property with Expedia Group.
What you'll do:
Build scalable, well isolated services that follow Reactive principles
Build modern user interfaces and workflows based on targeted data analysis and customer feedback
Build on top of event streams to deliver software that increases operational efficiencies for our property managers
Contribute to our next generation API platform by designing, deploying and battle testing domain driven GraphQL APIs for internal and external usage
Deploy to production daily using CI/CD and feature flags
Work with QA, product management and operations in an agile environment
Create and maintain quality software using best-in-class tools: Git, Splunk, Datadog and Jenkins
Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions

Who you are:
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
8+ years of professional, post college, software development experience with React.js and Node.js, building responsive UI for web and mobile
Experience in leading multiple engineers in a team, with ability to coach and mentor engineers
Scale our services to meet the ever-growing customer traffic
Knowledge of event driven architecture and tools like Kafka
Technologies: Java8, Node.js, React, Redux, React Native, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Mongo DB, Spark, S3, AWS, Docker, Dropwizard, Kafka, Datadog
