The Device Supply-Chain Technology(DSCOT) team is responsible for supply-chain and optimization systems forall of Amazon Devices.You will be responsible for driving the technical direction and architectureof this large, complex software system. You will manage a team of softwareengineers to develop highly available, business impacting services at thecore of Amazon's offline fulfillment engine. You will also work closely witha diverse group of stakeholders including Operations, Finance, andinternal technical teams to define business opportunities and then driveend-to-end solutions.Successful candidates will have an established track record deliverydeveloping complex software systems, excellent people and project managementskills, keen technical aptitude, solid communication skills, and bedriven to achieve results in a fast paced environment.Basic QualificationsMaster's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years ofexperience; or Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience.Experience leading a software development team through multipleproduct/platform releases.Experience making significant individual contribution to real-world softwaredevelopment.Experience with an object-oriented programming language; object-orienteddesign and algorithmic analysis background.Experience with professional software engineering best practices such as Agileproject management, coding standards, code reviews, source controlmanagement, build processes, testing, and operationsExperience developing engineers through various career stages and buildinghigh-performance teams.Experience building scalable systems/applications from conception throughsuccessful delivery to customersPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated leadership in cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.Experience building complex, high-performance, and highly-availabledistributed software systems that have been successfully delivered tocustomersDemonstrated focus on continuous improvement of systems, software andprocesses through data analysis and metrics.Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/servicesdevelopmentUnderstanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing and operational issuesAbility to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technicalstakeholders across all levels of the organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability topresent complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to avariety of audiences.
