Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
CDN ANALYTICS SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Are you interested in joining a team that’s working on a large-scale analytics project? As a CDN Analytics Software Engineer , you will be responsible for designing and building specific components of our CDN analytics platform. You will work with other engineers and researchers with backgrounds in advanced fields such as big data and machine learning. As a key member of the team, you will help define, refine, and test state of the art algorithms, and scale the associated systems for high performance, stability, and availability.
Building the tools to administer/monitor a large distributed database.
Building data analytics and logging at massive scale for a CDN
Writing production-quality, tested code.
Understanding the code base thoroughly in breadth and depth, as well as managing code repositories and development infrastructure.
Producing technical designs and documentation at varying levels of granularity
Collaborating with our quality assurance and technical operations teams to provide outstanding customer service
Resisting the accrual of “technical debt” in our systems.
Here are some of the specific technologies we use:
Linux ( CentoOS )
2+ years of experience in one or more languages .
Excellent SQL skills.
The ability to diagnose and fix productions issues quickly.
Experience in all aspects of data systems( both Big data and traditional) including schema design, ETL, aggregation strategy, and performance optimization.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and some professional experience .
Strong communication skills.

The CDN team is a quasi-startup group within Comcast’s Technology and Product Division and is based in Denver’s LoDo district. Our technology is open-source based, and our products deliver video and other content over IP infrastructure to an array of connected devices in and out of the home.

Relevant Work Experience
Pay Range: $70,058.48 - $105,087.71
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
