The Amazon Device Software and Services team designs and engineers thesoftware that supports the groundbreaking Echo family of devices, Fire TV,tablets, Kindle e-Readers, third party Alexa providers, and cars.We're building paradigm-shifting technologies to enable Amazon to create,build, and launch innovative devices in record-breaking time. As part of ourteam, you'll design and build software solutions that will transform thenext big idea into the products our customers know and love, at Amazon scale!The Device Software and Services Excellence team operates programs to increasethe stability and performance of all Amazon device customer experiences. Weserve as a center of excellence by providing leadership, best practices,tools, research, audit reports, support and education to all DeviceSoftware and Services teams. We also own mechanisms to standardize the APIimplementation decisions across the organization. You will have an enormous opportunity tomake an impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of cuttingedge products used every day, by people you know.We're working hard, having fun, and making history; come join us!Basic Qualifications* 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams* Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, buildingsustainable processes and coordinating release schedules* 5+ years of technical program management experience* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field.* 5+ years of professional software development experience.* 5+ years of experience in at least one modern object-oriented programminglanguage such as Java, C++ or C#.* 3+ years of experience building large scale, high-performance systems ina complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment.* 3+ years of design and architecture knowledge as well as familiarity withobject oriented analysis and design patterns (OOA/OOD).Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
