Job SpecificationsThe Technical Consultant will be responsible for all aspects of applicationsupport, application architecture design and administration. This includessupport for basic system architectures, software installation andconfiguration, security, and performance tuning. The Technical Consultantwill also be responsible for troubleshooting, capacity planning, patchmanagement and backup recovery procedures.The Technical Consultant will be expected to regularly meet with businessrepresentatives to verify requirements for designated systems.The primary focus of this position will be to provide technical support forour Utility GIS Application systems and their supporting systems.SALARY GRADE: $76,300.00 - $114,450.00 (Determined by theknowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Supervisor, Utility GIS Application SystemsLOCATION: This position can be located in any of our three offices inFayetteville, AR, Denver, CO, or Rapid City, SD.To learn more about our locations, please visit our on our careers website.A Comprehensive Relocation Plan is offered for this position! Depending on individualcircumstances, our benefit may also include trips home during temporaryhousing, renter's lease cancellation assistance, or home marketing andsale closing cost assistance and/or purchase closing cost assistance.Contents of our relocation program are subject to change and may vary based onESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide technical leadership in project meetingsProvide IT consulting services to other teams in IT and across the businessProvide thorough and well written technical reviews of businessapplications, cloud services and third-party applicationsProvide detailed, professional quality architectural diagramsResponsible in support and architectural design of multi-tiered applicationsResponsible in integrating systems of various technologies.Responsible in troubleshooting system issues including application,database, and networkResponsible for the installation and configuration of complex software systemsfollowing established IT procedures and change control standardsResponsible for post-installation verification, risk assessments and gapanalysisResponsible for setting strategy, direction, coordination, and planningfor designated systemsWork closely with co-workers, application developers and end-users toresolve application and performance related issuesEnsure recoverability of designated systemsEnsure security and integrity of designated systemsInstall, patch, and maintain designated systems in accordance with the ITpatching policyEnsure compliance with all corporate policies including but not limited to SOXand NERC/CIPMonitor and optimize the performance of designated systemsProcess work related requests in an accurate and timely mannerWork as part of the Technical Consulting team and provide 24x7x365 supportwhen requiredADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide various application server support as neededProvide monthly status reportsProvide detailed, professional quality architectural diagramsAssist with supervision and cross-training of your peers and co-workersAbility to effectively document procedures for audit and control purposesWillingly accept all other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Three (3) years of experience supporting complex multi-tiered applicationsrequired.Bachelor's degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination ofeducation and experience is required.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of Linux OS, architecture, and troubleshooting techniquesis requiredStrong knowledge of Windows OS, architecture, and troubleshootingtechniques is requiredStro
