Our team is responsible forbuilding AWS Ground Station and bringing all forms of space into Amazon'smassive-scale data center networks. Our space networks provide high bandwidthand low latency solutions for networking launch vehicles, aggregatingsatellite systems, inter-connecting space system networks, and enablingmanagement and monitoring of all satellite control network devices andcritical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experiencein developing worldwide networks of hardware and software systems as well asarchitectures and technologies that are robust and easy to deploy and operate.This role will apply deep domain knowledge of satellite ground segmentarchitecture and global service operations in order to deliver globalsatellite systems and networks that can reliably support an international setof space customers. This Technical Program Manager has successfully completedcomplex, multi-discipline projects encompassing satellite modem digitalsignal processing and encapsulation, IP networking and interfaces, andcloud based satellite network operations.Are you passionate about building, owning and operating satellite or spaceprocessing systems? This is the right role for someone with thedrive to take ownership of complex tasks and projects, react effectively todynamic challenges in a fast-paced, high intensity environment, andindependently prioritize their activity to deliver the results that ourglobally expanding business needs.Responsibilities:* Act as the customer's point of contact for technical and implementationcoordination with the Ground Station service team.* Identify and escalate customer service risks and drive them to resolutionwith relevant stakeholders.* Coordinate across AWS sales and service teams to ensure synchronizedengagement efforts.* Work with the service team/development to translate customer and businessrequirements into defined product feature requests.* Work with the Product/Business development teams to identify newtechnologies to support GS's product roadmap.* Provide technical leadership for service implementation including SOWcreation, deliverables tracking, implementation quality and schedule.* Create and evolve Ground Station technical program management processes.* This role can be filled in various locations across the US, but preferablyLos Angeles, CA, Denver, Colorado, New Mexico, TX, Washington DC metro areaBasic Qualifications * 5+ years relevant work experience in IT education, training, oroperations program management * 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables,vLookups, Macros), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint * 5+ year relevant technical project management and/or business analystexperience * Demonstrated experience writing and editing executive level communication * 3+ experience working on cross-functional teams * Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
