Responsibilities
Guidehouse is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and creative Product Designer to build and drive best-in-class user experiences. You have a strong foundation in Human-Centered Design approach to uncover the unmet needs and craft design solutions to address those needs. You understand how people think, operate and interact with complex sets of data and are comfortable working with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists, to determine the research plans and design framework for the user experience of digital products.
You will support product initiatives and work with cross-functional teams. You will work in small, fast, agile teams, helping to envision innovative solutions that create delightful customer experiences. This candidate will be the voice of the user, expected to properly convey what the user wants, needs, and expects from the products that we are creating.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other practitioners to solve design problems and make decisions about product strategy
Understand user needs, business requirements and translate research insights into user flows, personas, journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
Plan and conduct user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and identifies usability and accessibility concerns
Lead discovery, empathy and ideation workshops to help identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
Facilitate the client’s vision by conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products and services
Work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
Conduct design workshops to foster co-creation of design solutions that address both user and business needs
Clearly and effectively communicate discovery, design processes, ideas, and solutions to product teams and customers
Lead collaborative review sessions to iterate on visuals/mockups
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
Must have an online portfolio featuring products that shipped
Must have a total of Six (6) or more years of professional experience to include direct experience in the below areas:
Versatile design experience with core competence in UX and interaction design, visual design, and functional capability in product strategy and service design
Experience working with human-centered design concepts
Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite, and the like is required
Experience working on product teams in agile environments
Preferred:
Effective communicator within a remote environment
Experience in the health care industry
Experience working with the U.S. Web Design System
Foundational understanding of value-based care
Certifications in human-centered design or user experience (e.g., NN/g UX)
Understands and has experience with section 508 compliance
Additional Requirements
