The Cyber Security Technology (CST) Research and Innovation function within Global Information Security is responsible for innovation and architecture, engineering, solutions and capabilities development of information technology security controls.

Description

The Zero Trust Information Security Engineer is responsible for helping to define, drive, and deliver major components of Bank of America’s ZT security strategy including integration with Identity and Access Management (IAM), Endpoint Security, Policy Engine and Trust Engine. You will work with the ZT Program leader on complex transformation of security paradigm to reduce risk to Bank of America. Knowledge and experience with information security Authorization and Authentication systems, infrastructure and implementation techniques is a key component to this role. You will demonstrate extraordinary organizational and cross-functional communication skills to collaborate on the integration to existing security features.

In this role, you will partner with Global Information Security (GIS) leaders to assist with defining the strategy and roadmaps for ZT technology products, service standards, and governance routines. You will be partnering with leadership across the Bank to design a solution and service alternatives that improve the firm’s defenses against insider risks.

You will work with multiple major technology teams within Global Technology that research, engineer, test, implement, communicate, monitor, and maintain solutions supporting the Bank’s information security policies and/or procedures. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge and business requirements to design and engineer a ZT solution to meet customer/client security demands, while protecting the Bank's data assets.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of application programming experience in IAM

  • Technical Team Leader

  • Holistic view of IAM (AuthN and AuthZ Data, MFA, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Policy Engine)

  • Experience in IAM Tools like Ping, SailPoint, Oracle OIM, Oracle Waveset

  • Web Application development using Core Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC. Framework Struts 2.0, Spring, JSF, JDBC, JNDI, JMS

  • Expertise in Web-Development technologies: HTML, XML, XSL/XSLT, XPATH and Java script.

  • Experience in Tomcat, Web Logic, IBM WebSphere

  • Python/JavaScript/Jquery/ JSON/ AngularJS

  • RESTful Services

  • Web Development Concepts (State Management, Stateless Development)

  • Multithreading.

  • Experience with the development models and software development lifecycle (SDLC) model

Enterprise position overview: Key individual contributor, with accountability for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting information security & directory technology systems (software & hardware). Utilizes in-depth technical knowledge and business requirements to design & implement secure solutions to meet customer / client needs while protecting the Bank's assets. Develops and implements security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse environment (e.g. client server, distributed, mainframe, etc.). Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Typically 5-7 years of IT experience.
