The Boeing Company Advanced Technologist in Englewood, Colorado
Product Research & Incubation in Boeing Global Services is currently looking for an Advanced Technologist to join its team in Englewood, CO .
A successful candidate will have experience with product development, business cases, requirements, software development projects, Agile methodologies, and innovation initiatives.
Participates in research and development (R&D) of advanced computing technologies. Investigates and documents emerging technology trends and products.
Assists in customer consultations.
Delivers major system components for a deployment effort.
Contributes to R&D proposals.
Influences colleagues and direct customers to use appropriate computational tools and processes.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
Collaborates with project owners/stakeholders to understand business needs, project specifications, business case development, and cost analysis.
Identifies and documents customer business problems and objectives.
Works with targeted projected users to support he definition, documentation, validation, and evaluation of business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimum viable product (MVP).
Translates business needs into clearly defined and documented detailed, high quality technical requirements, functional designs, and system supplemental specifications.
Supports software development teams with requirements, roadmaps, and specifications to facilitate development.
Supports the verification that the MVP requirements meet the customer needs based on specifications, ensuring minimal defect in both user acceptance test (UAT) and production.
Raises issues and risks and assists in resolution.
Manages technical ideas from inception through construction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in business cases, product development, and/or requirements analysis
3+ year of experience in software development projects
2+ year of experience in Agile methodologies
Experience in aviation and/or airline industry
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 + years of experience with technical project management & Agile methodologies.
3+ years of experience working in multi-disciplinary & distributed teams.
3+ years of experience with with requirements and/or business analysis.
Bachelor's degree or higher
Typical Education & Experience:
Degree in a related field of study and typically 6 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
