About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Product Manager to set the strategic direction of our software platform at Aquatic Informatics. You will specify market and product requirements supported by market data and return on feature development investments.
This position will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and increasing the profitability of existing products and the returns on new product/feature development. You will build or enhance products from existing ideas, and help to develop new insights.
The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This includes directly collecting voice of customer and competitor information and coordinating with marketing to translate product features into customer value propositions and campaigns. This role will understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer and clearly communicate that within the organization.
Lead the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by visits to customers and non-customers. Document these requirements in ROI models and formal marketing requirements documents.
Capture customer use cases, and prioritize market importance
Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
Analyze competitive products, document and communicate competitive differentiation, and implement a product strategy to set your product apart.
Work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements.
Participate in user design sessions with UX; Support the development of user stories
Bachelor’s Degree required
Computer Science, Environmental or Civil Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus.
3+ years of software marketing/product management experience.
Experience with Agile software development process
Knowledgeable in information technology and SaaS software products.
Strong familiarity with APIs with understanding how modern web/SaaS technologies work
The salary range for this role is 92K - 126K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
