DISH Business Operations Analyst II - Device Fraud in Englewood, Colorado

Billing and Credit Overview:

The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing up front analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to:

  • Billing Accuracy

  • Credit Qualification

  • Customer Payments

  • Customer Fraud and Revenue Assurance

  • Customer Delinquency, Collections, and Bankruptcy

  • Customer Installation Damage Claims

  • Third Party Provider Payments



  • Monitoring customer accounts for fraudulent activities, putting stop gaps in place to stop fraudulent acts immediately once identified, and implement systemic changes to prevent fraud and reduce revenue leakage for all wireless lines of business (protecting up to 9.25M payment transactions/$460M monthly).

  • Will work cross functionally with other departments (including but not limited to (CXO, IT, Sales Ops) to identify and prevent customer and dealer fraud, put business rules and ensure systematic restrictions in place to prevent revenue loss as new offers got to market.

  • Resolves any/all known fraud issues immediately and works with IT and CXO teams if any customers are impacted to fix accounts and implement changes to prevent future occurrences.

  • Evaluating all processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and uses 3rd party relationships to manage fraud and revenue assurance fall out while minimizing cost.

  • Identify trends in Customer Call Detail Records (CDR’s), Billing, Payments, Refunds, Chargebacks and use trending to make strategic business decisions related to Fraud

  • Prepare, produce, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reports measuring, monitoring, and alerting the business regarding unforeseen shifts in the performance. Maintain external data files and input values into various reports in an efficient manner

  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e. databases, spreadsheets, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals

  • Create ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner, assist department leadership with various tasks and items as needed, comply with all company policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct at all times while maintaining a positive attitude

    A successful Business Operations Analyst II will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) from a from a four-year College/technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in the Wireless industry preferred

  • Experience in Fraud and/or revenue Assurance preferred

  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, team and employee development, capable of managing performance review and consultations as needed

  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand and summarize complex material

  • Demonstrates the ability to think strategically by anticipating future implications, identifying creative solutions to produce results, and understanding the long term impacts of decisions

  • Intermediate-level skill and experience with G-S uite products, including Sheets , Docs and Gmail ( Additional Microsoft office products are also used in some situations including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook)

    Compensation: $48,600.00/Yr. - $67,300.00/Yr.
