Responsibilities
The System Director will be responsible for leading the execution discipline of the enterprise-wide ITD function to focus on Value Creation and realization. This position will be responsible for building brand strength and developing efficiency for ITD and noticeable improvement in profitability for CommonSpirit as a whole. The position will also work closely with ITD leadership to prioritize technology initiatives that will provide quicker time to value in the delivery lifecycle and measure success based on end-user
satisfaction, speed of innovation, and achievement of the required return on investment. Approximately 60 percent of the role will be focused on ITD portfolio management, integrated planning, investment forecasting, change and transformation management, and Portfolio governance and 40 percent on leadership – translating strategic vision into operating plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, build, develop a high performing enterprise-wide strategic and operational investment management function thatupholds operational excellence for CommonSpirit Health
a. Strategic portfolio management: Synchronize strategic contributions, selection, prioritization and integrated
delivery roadmap
b. Program controls: Monitoring project progress and implementing control measures across decision making bodies
c. Training and coaching: Implement staff develop measures for project managers and teams
d. Project Management services: Operational support for projects in implementing PM tasks
e. Methods and processes: Defining and maintaining processes, PM methods and tools
Partner closely with IT & Digital Senior Leadership, focus on efficiency and transparency and continue to enhanceoperational experience
Strategically synchronize and coordinate all ITD National and Division programs
Responsible for Enterprise oversight, management and delivery of all strategic program related activities
Responsible for organizational transformation and change management for Large Strategic Programs
Assist in the resolution of program-related risks
Measure program performance versus SLAs and generate performance reports
Define streamlined and efficient investment intake, selection, prioritization, and integrated planning processes
Establish investment performance metrics
Determine and manage IT Program authority model

Continuous improvement of financial P&L and sustained cost optimization measured by cost reduction, productivity

Compensation Range: $130,000 to $169,000
Position is eligible for incentive pay based on company performance.
Qualifications
Required:
6 years Information Technology Leadership Experience
Master’s degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Experience in Information Systems in a Healthcare Setting
Experience managing a large team strongly desired
Experience developing or supporting Information Systems or technologies strongly desired
