DISH HR Operations Associate in Englewood, Colorado

The HR Operations Associate serves as the first point of contact for all employees and managers that access HR Operations. The HR Operations Associate responds to employee inquiries on topics including but not limited to: DISH guidelines, benefits plan and enrollment, paid time off, leaves (FMLA/LOA/ADA), immigration, employee communications, COBRA and retirement plans. Reviews and confirms appropriate documentation to process new hire transactions and existing employee changes. May perform research to achieve problem resolution. The role is closely supervised and applies broad theoretical job knowledge to explain facts, policies, and practices related to job area. Problems faced are not typically complex or difficult.


The essential functions of this job position include, but are not limited to, the follow ing tasks and duties an employee encounters while performing this job.   • Receive, understand and respond to employee and/or HR Business Partner inquiries related to various functions of HR Operations including but not limited to, hiring, compensation, separations, benefits, retirement, w orkers’ compensation, safety, and/or leave of absence.

  • Collect, organize and maintain personnel records in both paper and electronic form including but not limited to, records for: benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, and retirement.

  • Communicate verbally and in w riting w ith HR vendors, as needed.

  • Compile, organize and submit basic data reports relating to HR Operations functions.

  • Interact with employees virtually through the Ask HR software tool, assess their needs and present a professional recommendation that meets each employee’s specific needs to provide a quality employment experience.

  • Interpret, understand and execute on a variety of instructions furnished in w ritten, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.

  • Report to work on-site on a regular, predictable and timely basis.

  • Meet all of DISH’s performance expectations, including but not limited to, satisfying all applicable metrics, productivity standards, goals, and proficiencies related to overall performance.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • The employee frequently is required to mobilize around the w ork area, use hands and fingers, reach w ith hands and arms, and be present continuously at a work station for up to three (3) consecutive hours.

  • The employee must have the ability to use a computer mouse, keyboard, telephone and other equipment typically found in an office environment.

Essential Sensory Functions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to other employees and hear speech from other employees.

  • The employee will need to regularly interact and communicate with others, including but not limited to, face to face communications, over the phone communications, and email & chat messaging communications. The employee must be able to comprehend the subject of the communication and take appropriate responsive action, if necessary.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, read and interpret, documents and instructions; frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a technology environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties and essential functions of this job, the employee is exposed to computer equipment and noise levels of a typical office environment, with the requisite level of noise associated with 50 or more employees working in the same physical location.


  • Read and interpret documents such as operating/maintenance/procedure instructions and safety rules.

  • Write routine reports and business correspondence.

  • Speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization whether individually or in groups.

  • Operate efficiently between multiple computer applications and be proficient with Windows 7 or higher.

  • Proficiency with the Google Suite, including but not limited to, Google Sheets and Google Docs.

  • Effectively interact w ith all levels of organizational staff and company personnel.

  • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written/oral communication, and customer service skills.


  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Draw and interpret bar graphs and diagrams.

  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Associate’s Degree or higher preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: $37,350.00/Yr. - $49,925.00/Yr.
