Senior Vendor Analyst
Role responsible for assisting the development of a program that ensures CHI realizes full value from vendors, post contract award. This includes ensuring vendors deliver high performance, are held accountable for performance failure and facilitates the resolution of disputes. Reports on the value of results delivered to the business (savings, relationship gains and improved vendor performance/accountability).
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Leads robust RFx processes that conform to industry best practice utilizing state of the art technology, tools and methods.
Employs sophisticated negotiation techniques that simultaneously and effectively claims value, creates value and builds relationships.
Stratifies the IT vendor portfolio into tiers; employs an appropriate vendor management methodology for each tier such that the resource investment is commensurate with the vendor related ROI to CHI
For large vendors, employs robust business review regimen that consistently yields concrete and continuous improvements to vendor performance, risk mitigation and when possible – savings.
Is proficient using tool set that efficiently and effectively incents appropriate vendors to deliver high performance and invest in a long term CHI relationship.
Executes process that conveys vendor management requirements to contracts group to ensure that pre-award contracting sets the table for successful post-award vendor management results.
Ensures sourcing agreements include strong outcome oriented SLAs/remedies; supports contracting team to achieve similar SLA results
Serves as team lead in coordinating/aligning a wide range of stakeholders in the execution of the above activities and results; stakeholders include the business, Legal, risk, audit, IT security and other relevant organizations.
Works collaboratively with other sourcing and vendor management professionals in executing their responsibilities ensuring team alignment around the efficient and timely delivery of consistent high quality results that comply with CHI policy.
Provides overview/training for internal clients on the sourcing/vendor management and Negotiation process.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of sourcing/vendor management policies, processes and procedures.
Contributes to the development of tools and technology that drive a high performance sourcing/vendor management function.
- Generates regular reports on results such as vendor performance gains, risk mitigation, remedies collected, disputes resolved, etc.
Skills, Requirements and Certifications
Bachelor degree preferred, may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience
4 years of experience in mid-size corporate sourcing, contracting or vendor management functions including the use of enterprise sourcing/contracting technology.
IT contracting experience is required.
Leadership experience in mid-size corporate sourcing or vendor management organization
Evidence that valued results were delivered to the business (i.e. vendor performance gains, relationship gains, risks mitigated, remedies paid, savings collected, etc.).
Demonstrated knowledge of financial business practice as it relates to calculating the ROI of IT deals.
Demonstrated ability to source and vendor manage outsourcing services
Track record validating the kind of negotiation skills defined by this position description.
