Join ourteam! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertiseto research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improvecutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex systemarchitectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them fromoperational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation,and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you arein charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through thepAt SNC's ISR, Aviation and Security (IAS) team we are a leading mannedand unmanned aircraft systems integrator for high-performance intelligence,surveillance and reconnaissance, and aviation systems. IAS tailors solutionsto customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs toconsistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable ourcustomers to focus on their mission.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Sciencedegree in System Engineering or related discipline andtypically 6 or more years of relevant experiencePracticalknowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience developing the mission system architecture for airborne militaryplatformsExperience interpreting customer requirements and decomposing them into systemand subsystem requirements and specificationsExperience in integration of an Open Mission System (OMS), missionsystem computer, communications, and other subsystems onto militaryairborne platformAble to demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of regulatory andapplicable airworthiness requirements including Mil-hdbk-516C requirementsUnderstand Systems Engineering product lifecycle managementExperience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsKnowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing,derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration,technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verificationand Validation (VandV) principlesThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance requiredPreferred:Working knowledge of communication protocols of computer/mission systems,including Ethernet, serial, 1553, PCIe, I2C, ARINC429Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such asDOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLABPractical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, toinclude, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based SystemEngineering (MBSE)Experience or certification in INCOSE standardsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryAbility to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complexdevelopment setting, including the use of high impact trade studies andother measuresExposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements(TPM)IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S.Security Clearance.
