Summary About the Position: This position is with the Evans Army Community Hospital, Health Information Technology Division located on Fort Carson, CO. HIT's mission is to integrate and protect the Rocky Mountain Tri-Service medical information network to deliver on the promise and partnership of quality, safe, and valued Warrior and Family centered care. Responsibilities Employee provides HIT project management services on behalf of Defense Health Agency (DHA), MEDCOM, RHC-C, Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH), and Fort Carson, Colorado projects. Employee provides primary project management coordination on behalf of the DHA HIT MHS Access Application Gateway architecture which impacts nine separate Air Force clinics represented in several U.S. state. Provide primary project management coordination on all DHA HIT major projects both new and projects in sustainment to include active directory migration, operating system upgrade, desktop to datacenter conversion and Medical-Community of Interest. Develop deployment plans of the medical network infrastructure throughout Fort Carson and the FORSCOM community. Employee applies advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices applicable to requirements, definition, design, administration and security of complex data and telecommunications networks. Coordinate with Healthcare Informatics to design, test and execute clinical workflow with various HIT technologies, to include but not limited to telemedicine, hands free technology, patient queuing and nurse notification. Desired but not Required - Possess a current Project Management Professional certification authorized by the Project Management Institute (PMI). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is described as: One year of demonstrated experience which includes: Assisting with managing multiple IT projects in a large Medical Environment providing IT services in project management. Planning, coordinating, testing and implementing project management IT services (Policy and Planning) Developing deployment plans of medical networks with multiple users. Collaborates and communicates with all stakeholders to properly scope, resource and execute approved IT Projects. This work is performed in a hospital environment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
