A newly formed organization, this role is theopportunity to lead data management at HP. This is a master level programmanager role, leading a company-wide transformation initiative. This rolewill develop and lead implementation of enterprise data management(processes, tools, standards, programs and practices). He/shewill partner across multiple functional areas (IT, supply chain,finance, etc) and at multiple levels (individual contributors,managers, directors, VPs, etc). Reports into the supply chain'sstrategy & plaGeneral Role/Level Description: Unique mastery and recognized authority onrelevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories andtechniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.Successfully operates in HP's most complex disciplines. Provides highlyinnovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams orprojects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Mayparticipate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring andguidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment indeveloping methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as afunctional manager within area of expertise but does not manage otheremployees as a primary job function.Responsibilities may include:Develop & execute a data governance process to evaluate projects/ programscompliance to data standards, issue resolution, exception requests, andcapturing new requirementsCreate mechanism to produce expanded data dictionary, data quality, anddata lineage artifactsPartner with stakeholders (executives domain leads, architects, programmanagers) to execute a data governance roadmap for new projects/ programs.Maturing our data quality and data quality monitoring solution.Create and maintain a common data dictionary.Building out data lineageReport out to senior executives on progress, value of governance processes.Required experience and skillsExperience in establishing data governance processes/practices and datastewardship teamsA passion for data, data governance, data management.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field8 - 10 years' experience in Data Governance/data managementWorking knowledge of IT tools, architecture, processes.SAP experience preferredKnowledge of data governance practices, business/ technology issuesrelated to management of enterprise information assetsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skillsCan articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audienceCan work effectively with all levels of management and staffAbility to negotiate, influence and leadPossesses strong organizational and prioritization skillsSuperior problem-solving abilities; applies good judgementPossesses a growth mindset and a positive attitude#LI-PostHP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
