We are seeking a Java Developer Intermediate level to help support theefforts of the USFWS-Refuges. Responsibilities: * Responsible for developing, testing, implementing and maintainingweb-based application systems. * Troubleshoots system problems and issues and looks for ways to improvethe application. * Performs routine programming assignments that do not require domainknowledge or experience but do require knowledge of established programmingprocedures and data processing requirements. * Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform thefunctions of the job. * Work directly with senior Team Lead to receive work assignments. Qualifications: * JEE programming skills (JSP/Java, with Groovy experience preferred) * Experience with Web Frameworks (Grails, Spring, Struts preferred) * Experience with Object Relational Mapping frameworks (Hibernate,JPA, GORM preferred) * Experience with Relational Databases * Experience with Drupal * Experience with client side interactivity and design usingJavascript, XHTML or HTML5, and CSS (JQuery or Twitter Bootstrap preferred) * Experience with Apache Tomcat * Experience with Linux operating systems preferred * Some experience with cloud-based technologies (Amazon AWS preferred) * Excellent communication skills (written and oral). * Four years full time Java development experience in an increasinglyresponsible position. * Knowledge of Java, Groovy, Grails, Web Applications, Ajax,JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap * BS degree in Computer Science ore related curriculum or equivalent.
